Yesterday i hit a curb pretty hard and destroyed a wheel, the irony is i was watching another wreck and was focused on it. But anyway i hit the curb and thought it was just my alignment (steering wheel turned towards the left driving straight) after i had put a wheel on and whatnot.

All thats wrong is a tie rod, and its apparently going to cost 400 which is total bullshit! but i can't fix it myself because i don’t have my tools anymore. My hondas in the shop where its getting all the necessaries to be street legal again so i can sell it. And my mustangs keys are MIA.

The thing that really pisses me off, is this is just shit thats getting replaced next year when i swap out the engine for a supercharged 3.2l and put in a new AWD system which requires a whole new suspension etc... So basically im replacing something that im just going to replace next year...

Sorry it happened dude. But that is why you should watch the road and not "rubberneck" to look at wrecks.

By the way what type of car are you talking about that you are going to put a 3.2 and AWD system in?

it was one of the things that happens in a split second and it catches your attention. dont try to act ****ing super human and act like your attention has never been brought to something else. and if it was you wouldn't you want someone to testify to whos fault it was? dont try to get on the ****ing offensive and say i deserved it, yes i made a **** up. but did i have it coming? well not because i was in someone elses 'business'

You've got to be kidding.....

Even taking into consideration the cost of the part, labor, and the obvious alignment that goes with that; $400 is extremely excessive.

I'd be hard pressed to acquire some tools and knowledge and replace it yourself.

(Auto Zone and Advance Auto Parts (Parts America) all have tool loan programs.)

If you were a little closer I'd tell you to grab the part and bring it by my shop. I'd have the part changed out within 45 minutes. I don't have the equipment for a proper alignment, however, I do have a few connections with people in town that will do a full computerized alignment for about $40.00.

Either way, at $400, someone is padding their pockets.

I had to have 1 new tie rod & wheel alignment bout 3 months ago-was only $60 for the tie rod $25 for the alignment (normal price for alignment $50, but I'm cool with the shop).
