This is a longshot, but anyone in Blacksburg or VA read

I just realized my state inspection was supposed to be done yesterday (10/05 expiration), but that if I took it into a shop, it would fail inspection because the windows are tinted to 20%. Does anyone in Blacksburg know any places to go that won't check the tint level or know someone that can get an inspection sticker? If you do, post here or PM me.

All of the places I called this morning said they check the tint level. I did find a place on Prices Fork that gave me the old "Come on in, wink wink, nudge nudge" answer on the phone.

why did you ask in the first place? if you dont bring up the fact that its something that may not pass then they will not look at it.

What kind of vehicle do you have?

VA is IIRC exactly like NC in that if you have a "commercial" vehicle (truck or van) you're exempt from tint regulations.

you can have the windows rolled down. i dont think they can ask you to roll them up so they could check your tint, and if its a multi passenger vihicle they back windows dont really matter

It's a Mustang, not a truck or SUV, and I called to ask because I didn't want to go there and fail the inspection because of the tinted windows. It's not like I gave them my name, contact information, and license plate number. They don't know who is calling to ask. If it's something they do check, I'm sure they'd just roll your windows back up and measure them. The rear window is tinted too, so yeah. Looks like I won't have to worry about it though.
