Look at these, they are generic RCA cables that cost like 5 bucks for 20 feet.There is absolutely no difference in sound quality between these and you're fancy pull apart cables. I suggest you go to radio shack and get some.

No... shielding in the car environment is pretty important, I cheaped out on a short run form EQ to amp in my trunk and got noise like what, went to BB and got tsunamis (oddly enough) and noise went completely away.
