This Amp Any Good?

Only dissing lanzar cause he compared it to my memphis... yes my memphis isnt quite the power but he was trying to get me to buy the lanzar 2000 optidrive.. i nodded my head at him then rolled my eyes.. I have a truck.. if i had a car i could hide the amp lol... Based on my opinion I wouldnt trust the amp .. The audio guys use the amp a week .. TOPS... then tell everyone about it... I got a eclipse headunit.. dun remember the model cause well I wanna forget spending 500 bucks on it and it being the worst piece of crap i ever owned. To list a few problems... the headunit wouldnt turn off my amp after my car shut off.. this happened 2 months after i bought it.. the motorized face stopped working after 3 weeks.. exchanged it... then the internal amp fried the headunit... and I exchanged it again.. 2 headunits... 3 problems... so screw car audio guys... If it works for a week... they give it a good rating.. im sure when they reviewed the lanzar they were surprised it didnt completely fry the entire electrical system so they said..Good Job Lanzar!

As far as the amp goes, if you can get the wattage it puts out cheaper Id be surprised. I hear the same negativity about "internet" subs when I go to shows.

As far as the Eclipse, have someone put it in for you. If not, learn how to install and set it correctly.

I can understand how you could form an opinion about a product that you used like the Eclipse headunit but just the same I've got an Eclipse unit in my wife's car that's been working just fine for the last 4yrs, it didn't cost me 500bucks though, it's one of the entry level models but it serves it's purpose just fine. Have you personally ever used a Lanzar product or are you going off what someone else has said on some forum. I have to wonder if its just a case of "name brand" infactuation.

How do you come to the conclusion about how these reviewers test these products, sounds like your are just making a statement trying to support your views.

Sounds like you love that Memphis amp of yours, hell I can remember with Memphis was consider crappy equipment. This was when the company was named "Fultron", hell no one wanted to touch the stuff because it was considered cheap equipment for cheap people when if fact they made some pretty solid equipment. I actually own a volfenhag 4 channel amp, It is very overrated but has been a very reliable amp and has been in 3 different cars. (I let my friends borrow it) In no way am I saying these are great amps, but I actually have experience with them,, and have been reasonably happy with its performance.
