Thinking of swapping out my vr4000d for a saz 3000d?

Key word - you KNOW of nobody - Crossfire is not big on the forums but they have a huge dealer base.
Getting a little touchy aren't we, Sundowns are nice, I just wouldn't do a direct swap from a VR4000D. As many comp cars I have seen, and still no VR4000's. Makes me believe not a lot of people run them, now the VR2000 I have seen plenty of.

I'm not being touchy at all - but you are assuming that everyone has 3000s based on forum impressions and a few SPL comp impressions. Which is simply not true - Sundown is very popular online - but Crossfire has a tremendous dealer base and amps all over the world.

There is no way there are less VR4000s out there than 3000s - fact - so your statement about running the "same shit" as "everyone" is not correct. That is all I'm saying.

I'm not telling him to swap or anything else for that matter - but pointing out that you are not correct if you think a VR4000D is more "different" than an SAZ-3000D.

he is showing no more or less passion than you, and he is the owner of one of the companies in question. I would expect no less out of Jacob. In fact Jacob is the factor that makes the Sundown a no brainer. IMO

Around here guys still think of the flea market when I mention Sundown, not so with Crossfire. Sundown has had great success on the forums, but in the real world they are still very small and relatively unknown. Hopefully that will change in time.

What kind of sales do you do quarterly, that should tell alot. And I assume alot of people run Sundown, because that is all I hear about is Sundown and not just on this forum, but also in public. I dont know why you would care, if alot of people are running your equipment, should translate to:greedy: Maybe he will buy a Sundown and sell his VR4000. I would be more than happy to take it off his hands:)

I'd be extremely pleased if I sold as many amps as some people assume on the forum *laughs*

The only reason it annoys me is that I see posts that say, "I'm not going to buy Sundown because everyone has it" but the reality is we are still a pretty small company -- just very popular with the online crowd.

So I'm not getting on your back or anything... but clarifying that we aren't a mega company selling a billion amps a month so not "everyone" is running our gear... not yet anyway *laughs*

appreciate the responses guys. As for sundown products I already run the 100.4 and am pleased with it. And because Sundown is smaller still, I believe that is why the customer service can be so great, and because Jacob has great passion for the game.

But in the ways, yeah tryin somethin new would be nice. I'm also wondering how the 3000d will do compared to the 4000d, in voltage , output, ect? So yeah I guess something new to try is always nice, but I'm not worried about what others use alot.

another thing that comes to mind is that I can get a new board installed from crossfire for roughly $300, and I believe the sundown would be similar. So if either do go poof, I'm still gonna come out the same. My vr4000d is a tank tho, I'll give it that. I do wish it was stable lower than 2 ohm tho //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

have you stopped to think maybe just maybe there is a reason for that??

crossfire just cant handle comp abuse maybe a great amp but not up to par for comps

and they will never have the customer service that sundown has that gets alot of products out there alone

have you ever owned/used a sundown?

when you upgrade subs in the summer....get the coil config that fits your amp and be done with it....i think the vr would be louder at 2ohm vs. the saz @ .5
