I have no idea what my JL's are selling for now days...All i know about them is that they are from 2000 JL 12w6v1's...3 of them....mint condition..still stiff...only seeing 175w rms each...just would like to know what they are worth??...just the subs no box...dual 6 ohm subs....300w rms and 600w peak...i know nothing about if they are double stacked magnets or 3" voice coils..any info on this sub will help me determine how much to sell them for....i was thinkin so far about $400 to 500...just an estimate....I would like to get a trio of some new RE subs like the SR series line of subs...cause my shop sells them for 190 each...so i need about 600 for the new setup....i am not selling the JL's yet just need a honest price on what they are worth..and do you think its good to go from JL to RE...is it a step in the right direction?? thanks

cool...i just hate running my subs at 4 ohm...i just wanna get the most outta my amp...so i want 3 dual 4 ohm subs and run the RE's at 2.67 ohm load...plus double my power and give each sub like 270w rms...they are 300w rms subs...little below..but i like to be safe...but i really dont want 7 year old subs....i like to stay current...and "I got money in the bank" too for the swap..lol..love that song...just wonder if it will be a big difference swappin JL's for some RE SR12's..humm

LoudcrownVic...yeah...i knew you had some V1's..cool...i just about had it with my 7 year old subs...needs some new technology...i mean i like JL alot...but cannot afford the 12w6v2's right now..plus i would need a bigger amp..and wires..and new battery..see what i am getting into...just want some really nice 300w rms subs..and i like RE SR12's

Old school JL's really dont NEED alot of power. YOu will probably have to upgrade your amp as well if if you want more spl, despite getting more power from lower ohm load the RE's are probably going to want more power and a ported enclosure.

good point...i like the V1's alot...i mean i hit like low 140's with the setup...my whole garage shakes when i turn it up to 50/50....just curious..is the v1's double stacked...3" voice coils??

The W6's were double stacked magnets but did not have a 3" voice coil diameter. 84oz double stacked magnets. You should try a new enclosure with your current subs and amplifier first. A 5.25 net cubic feet enclosure with a 84 square inch vent 26" long will get quite loud on just a few hundred watts. That is always cheap if you have a pencil, tape measure, wood glue, screw gun with drill bit and screws, circular saw and a long true piece of metal for a fence and some clamps. You might have $30.00 in the box after you are done. After trying that out, then make your decision whether or not you want to dump the "7 year old" subs.
