well *dont shoot* //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif a few weeks ago my naki 800 smoked on me when i let a friend hook it back up after i got my ported box. that "friend" donated me his pyle 1600watt 2ch amp while i was getting my naki fixed. the vocational school now tells me they wont order the parts it needs to have in order to be fixed b/c .... long story.

well anyways .... i am running 2 performance teknique 1k watt max subs in a ported box tuned to i dunno .... 35hz each on a channel of their own *2 ohms per channel b/c each is a dual 4ohm sub* the box is 4.25cubes. i also have a IT series cerwin vega 12" intverted in a sealed 1.5 cube box.

when this thing is turned up it literally makes it unable to read small font signs, it vibrated my bed cover in my truck, it bottoms out the IT vega, it flexes my roof SLIGHTLY and dims my lights like a mofo, my battery charge guage also knocks down about 2 notches on good solid hits. the air from the subs just wangs out my windows/doors

this thing gets almost warm with no fans at this 1ohm load. doesnt blow fuses, doesnt overheat, cutoff, or clip. its has all the features. my question is ..... i can get this amp for 150 bucks. i dont see ANYTHING wrong with it. hell my naki blew up powering my 2 12s, this thin handles 3 and even overpowers the vega meaning its puttign out ATLEAST 350-400 per sub. i dont see any flaws with this amp. it outperforms an audiobahn 800 watt amp by far, a kenwood 800, my naki 800, and a DHD 1600watt.

this may not be your cup of tea amp but it hella loud. this is my first experience with so called hitty amp and its VERY impressive. do you guys think i should buy it? why is it putting out as much power as a JBL 1200.1 or so at 1ohm if these amps are so crappy. the bass boost is about 1/4 the way up and gain is 75%. no distortion either unless the vega bottoms out

Sweet, sounds like you might have found a diamond in the rough. If it's working for you go for it.

When I was about 15 I bought my first real (what I thought was real) amp. It was a Pyramid pb600, a 75x4@4 amp. That thing was abused from day one. It sat on the steel floorboard of my datsun truck getting banged around constantly. It was almost always run in bridged mode, usually with the gains way up. I would over-heat it, get it wet - every kind of abuse you could imagine.

After a few years of that abuse I put it in my parents boat where it got more wet - set outside in the elements all winter long - utterly tortured. I used it for 3 years there, then transplanted it into the boat I have now. It still works like a champ. It's over-rated as far as power, but does fine powering a couple sets of coaxials. That thing has been through hell and back and it still works like it did day one.

Absolutely, if it works, then definitely get it. You can work on him on the price even.. simply because of the "less than admirable" brand name, he won't have people banging down his door to buy that thing.. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

I've got two Phase Linear amps in my truck... not the high end European phase linear, but the cheap Recoton brand.

I got them for $35 each on an auction. It's actually shocking how well they work.

Sometimes you find something that just happens to work in your install - nothing wrong with that.

Even makes the install a little more fun, IMO. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

if you like it go for it. my cousin got a pyle amp2kwatts2ch pushing215's cadence wild beast and it hits. it shocked the crap out of me that the amp is from pyle and he dosent even have the gain all the way up. sometimes the noname amps do better than the namebrand amps .
