So whats a fair price to sell it at these days. The 12.1 is discontinued, does that lower or raise its value?

And would it make me a complete dick to sell my sub for higher then I bought it for, i got it for 320.00, but the sub is going for 627.00 now

Right now its installed in a Suburban, but ill be trading in my burb soon for a Corvette so that pretty much makes the sub worthless to me.

Ill probably end up doing 2 or 3 10" Image Dynamic ID10v.3's

Probably should sell the sub for around 300$, because you used it for a lil while, and No you will never find anyone to buy one for much more than that.

reason i asked is because i jokingly told this dude 450.00 for the sub he was like "man thats cheap for an 18, where can i get me one" lol

Then again, would it really be ripping the dude off since there is nowhere besides Ebay (which dont have any) where you can pick it up for even as low as 450.00

let me put it to you this way. I know how much a brand new 12.1 would have cost me before RE got sand in its ******. so if i where going to make you an offer with that knowledge i wouldnt pay you more than $300 for it shipped to my doorstep.

my two pennies.

people that know what they are doing aren't going to pay that much for it... but if you can find someone to sell it it to for more than you paid, go for it. and especially since we all saw how much you paid for it, you won't get that much on this site :p

but you can keep that 12.1 and run different subs of it. thats what i would do since it's a solid amp.

yea selling subs locally you can actually make a decent profit, I had 2 infinity reference 12's i paid 100$ for shipped and a guy heard my system at a party and asked if I wanted to sell them. At first i thought he was gonna lowball but he said 200$ and I kinda looked at him funny then he said alright 250 lol. I was like sure and sold them right there.

lol. . yea. I usually sell my stuff for pretty cheap (or at least fair prices). But nobody around here knows who RE is . . just Memphis, Kicker, JL. . you know, the normal crap. So i might be able to take advantage of the situation and even put a little more money back in my pockets lol

and the beauty of it is, i can show him RE's price listing and say "hey dude look, its a 600 dollar sub" hahaha

We sell sx18s new for 375 in our shop. I just dont understand why people cant understand all these high prices from RE are MSRP:rolleyes: . I mean, the MSRP of a 15L7 is 549.95, do people around here bash Kicker for that?//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eyebrow.gif.fe2c18d8720fe8c7eaed347b21ea05a5.gif No, because everyone knows they can get it cheaper. If you give dealers a chance they will likely sell RE products alot less than MSRP.
