Thinkin about carpeting trunk lid

I am thinkin about carpeting my trunk lid after I get some deadening in it. This might be a noobie question but, how would I go about this? Does anyone have any sites on how to do this?

wipe trunk clean - Spray trunk - spray carpet - let tac for recommended time - trim - done. (3m super 90 spray).

i made a 1/8" hardboard template of my lid and carpeted it and put a logo in it and screwed it in
