Okay..heres the story. I bought the amp from a member on here, and the first time I plug it in, it smokes like crazy! I dunno what the problem was, but eventually it stopped. I thought all was well because it still worked and seemed fine. Well today I decided to take off the back of it to take a gut picture of it, just to post on here and see if people would think it does rated power (people have been telling me no and yes). I got it "tested" awhile back but found that it was just total bs and want accurate at all.
Anyways, I havent been in my truck for 2 days and I didnt even bother to start it or anything. Just went to the amp, unplugged everything and popped the back off. First thing I notice is something burnt...at this point im pretty pissed and I think back to when it first smoked right out of the box.
I take the pictures and plug everything back in right. I turn on my car to see if it is all good and...it wasnt. My HU setting were ALL out of whack. It had it set on all the way faded to my right speakers, treble and bass were all over the place negative it was wierd. So I set all of it back right to where I had it before. At this time, my sub wasnt being pushed AT ALL. I had to max out the volume and bass on my HU to get my sub to at least hit a little hard. Im starting to think the amp was screwed up from the get go. I dunno why it would smoke like that first thing when I hook it up. ALSO, the guy I bought it from claimed it still has months and months of warrenty on it. I see a sticker on the back saying warrenty is void if the sticker is broken (was holding the back plate on). Well today, i noticed the seal was already broken so the guy before me had already voided the warrenty and told me it still had it.
At this point I dont know what to do. I think its a little too late to try to get my money back or something. I just wanna sell it as is and get a quiality amp. Now for the pics...
I dunno wtf is going on, but im ready to just sell the amp as is. Im glad noone bought it when I had it f/s awhile ago or theyd be one pissed off person. I doubt I was even getting 2400w out of it, and I still thought it was loud. on1wheel01 is the guy I bought it from.
