schizophrenia causes this every day. i have lived with it in my family for a number of years. my brother's medication would cause any of us to sleep 20 hours a day. he goes to work on it. the mind is a powerful thing.

Yes, the full-blown state of schizophrenia (any of the subtypes!) is a scary thing; what's truely going through the heads of those who are diagnosed with it is unimaginable.

you kinda got me there. i really don't know what he takes. i know it's not geodon though. that's the last resort medication. whatever he takes, he slept alot at first. now that he's adapted a little, he's somewhat normal as far as schizophrenics go.

i wouldn't want to know. before we got him help, he was absolutely wierd. he called 911 4 times in 1 day because someone was outside his window.

Well if you would have said that, then I wouldn't have went on with it. You bolded what you quoted and I thought I spelled it that way. I left off a T, simple mistake moron. well ive taken both (they are helpful for bipolar) and both are heavily sedating. seroquel is def worse. and the schizo dose is WAY higher than any bipolar dose. if i took a schizo dose i seriously would bet id sleep for over 24 hours.
