Things people don't know about your job.

I work on a gas dock. We pump gas. 3.00$ for mid-grade, 3.09 for super and 3.09 for diesel. We also pump out waste tanks, and make good tips //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
shiiiiiiaaaat son hook me up with that gas, 3.15 for 87 here. my brother in law also worked at a gas station that you had to have a special card and a membership to go there, mostly truckers and stuff. and he found some towels with what appeared to be mud on them. he picked it up and realized it was somebodies shit. apparently there are no bathrooms there and some trucker decided that the bushes were a perfect spot.

I just got hired to work at a warehouse 4 days ago as a warehouse supervisor... I watch over guys who have been doing their jobs for 20+ years and have to correct them when I see them mess up... How often do you think I'll pick up an error before someone with 20+ years experience? LOL, anything to save a dollar, they figured they could pay me at a lower rate as a supervisor than if they promoted one of the warehouse workers... BTW, supervisor = DO NOTHING! My mom was a supervisor for some thing at the hospital and well, she does nothing all day except sit on a computer and get paid... kinda like I am doing now.

i dunno if you know anyhing about the gas prices but who controls that ? the way i see it is that they get a quote on a tank thats coming in and to cut cost they either stay at a compeitors price lvl or raise it up 1-2 cents or go 1-2 cents down. to get more customers. i dunno if im correct unless someone wants to correct me.

I was applying to be a warehouse worker, and the lady that interviewed me was really hot so I was just being nice to her... Then out of nowhere's she goes "how's your math skills?" I replied great, and she said "we have a warehouse supervisor opening, and with your education and work experience, you look more qualified than anyone else who applied, would you be willing to take a math test to see if you are capable of doing the job?" I agreed to do it, and passed... 1 week later, she's calling me to work my first shift. Now I hang around with her all day getting trained!

to give you an idea of how much they pay hourly here in az for the past jobs I had.

Arby's: 5.75

Creative Cumsumer Reasearch: 8.00

MCI: 8.00 plus comission ( if you get 4 sales in a day for the remainder of the 2 weeks you get a commission check of 400 added on to what your making hourly, anything more makes it go higher)

Inpulse: 7.50 plus commission (easy sale, cust calls in wanting that item, each item you get sold adds .50-2.00 and you'll get atleast 30-40 calls within the hour.

CVS: customer service rep 13 an hour

compass bank: 11 an hour just answering calls about peoples balances

*side note if you apply to any one of these jobs or something like it and you have some experience you can get a lil more then what they offer.

all in all every company is shady =D

At subway, the regulars that were nice would come in and get a $5.45 sandwich. I would give them double meat, shit loads of chease, bacon, all the extras that cost. and then ring it up at $3.55 (Footlong veggie). If everything was rang up right, it would be like 8-9bux. Also, i would get to work, and eat a footlong. eat a 6inch about midway through, then take a footlong home w/ me. Being graveyard shiftleader at 18y/o was awesome.
And BTW, i completely loved subway b4 i started, and i still do.

Nothing bad. Needless to say when i'd get a friday night off, and go to a party. i didnt pay for alcohol, or maryjane. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Oh, and the bartenders from the local clubs, i would apply the above discount, and they would take very good care of me.

I had *** several times at subway. On the floor, on the prep counter in the back. good times

I work at Lowe's and for the air forceas a civilian. I can't talk about the air force work ---> sorry

At Lowe's, we have three types of customers

Those who pay

Those who don't

and those we pay to leave

Based on skill, you have fall into any of those three categories, but the best skilled, we give cash to settle complaints that don't exist. Such as: it is hot in the garden center (which is outside), your gift cards are bilingual, your ceilings are too tall, you have too much merchandise, there is no help, and my personal favorite: I saw this thing on HGTV that does this thing. I have no real idea what it's called or what it does or who makes it, but you should a)know what I am referring to and b) have it in stock....well ma'am sorry about your inconvience in our 12+ hour workdays we did not have an opportunity to watch "Gardening by the Yard" this morning, but here is a $25 gift card to try to make things right.
