well after the long debate of what to do with this extra speaker '99 Diamond audio Hex s600 mid, i decided to dive into it. What i hypothesized was one of the internal leads to the coil broke, and i that is why it stopped working.
I tore off the dust cap, thinking the leads may have been through there, no dice.
Well to my luck, the 13 year old glue was withered badly. I easily removed the surround, and gently pulled out the coil for the triple joint was weak.
Here is the coil, it is in Pristine condition.
of course the leads have seen better days...

i couldnt throw it away, for this mid just has me tied up so greatly. monster magnet, could take all the power i could give it.. and exception mid bass.
Well, i started thinking, and stripped some 20 gauge OFC wire i had, took three strands, braided them, and soldered them to the coil hoping it would hold up,
It took a long time, the solder didnt like to stick on such a few strands of wires..
here's D-day.. hopefully it made a good contact.
