i find that if you build your own home stearo speaker setup using car audio subs it sounds aloooot better and its usualy alot cheaper ....it seems even the low end car audio subs are usually better than most home audio subs.......ive got an older panasonic dvd/receiver with 5 panasonic surround sound speakers for highs and mids and 1 old autotek 10 in a lil bandpass box with the sub running about 3 ohms and it sounds really good to me to be what it is and i havent got but about 100 in the whole setup and it is a 5 disc changer that plays about any burnt dvd i put in it.....but if you have the watts like the old pioneers and sonys etc etc had then i would biuld 2 nice home audio boxes with 3/4 mdf and cover them with whatever looks good in your living room carpet, panel wood , etc etc then put 2 lower grade car audio subs in them then get a good surround sound setup and your shit should sound off da hook
