I was just wondering how often car audio gets recovered? I know a lot has to do with the police department and whether or not the person pursues it but what's the general possibility of it?

Aside from that... I show my stuff to a guy at work and the next night at work my window's busted out and my stuff stolen out of the work parking lot. When I went inside and told a few people the guy that I had shown them to waited a while to check his blazer. He has 2 pairs of subs and 3 amps in that and they could have seen in there much easier than in my car and I drive a corsica that is fairly beat up. He told me this other guy's name (and that guy is a known thief) but he lives on the other side of the town and it's a few miles across town so I don't know how he would have known to come there for my stuff.

Are thieves typically that ballsy? to steal right out of a parking lot when anybody could walk out at any time? I'm out a hundred bucks for a new window, $200 sony hu, $200 planet audio subs (it would cost $200 to get one to replace the pair), $200 kole amp and some junky jensen amp I had running mids temporarily. Needless to say, an alarm is the first step in my new system.

Thiefs steal what they want, and if they want it that bad they will be willing to steal it

right in front of ur face. People like that deserve to be shot, i doubt u'll ever see ur gear again. since there is no way to track anything and they can easily be sold on ebay, or to other people.

Don't ever underestimate a thief. And if your sh*ts been jacked and never recovered go to http://www.propertyroom.com and you will probably see you stuff being auctioned off. You can get some good deals on there.
