How much space is need between the sub and the bottom of the box? I got a sub thats 5.63 and a box thats 5.87. is it enough space for the sub to work properly?

I would not, regardless of whether or not it is pole vented. Try to leave as much as the motor depth is my general rule of thumb

that was your first mistake, you dont buy a sub to fit a box, you build a box to fit a sub
