We have a cliff design dealer here and I have seen people run that amp before. Doesnt really seem to handle a high voltage electrical system all that well I have seen quite a few fail and also they dont seem to put out nearly that much power but I havent actually seen one benched yet.

before class D, everything was rated at 4 ohms .... and it's what the competiton orgs used for power classifications. The old Orion HCCA 225 was one of the ultimate cheater amps

25X2 @ 4 0hms

50X2 @ 2 ohms

100X2 @ 1 ohm

200X2 @ 1/2 ohm

400X2 @ 1/4 ohm

the amp was counted as 50 Watts in total power, even though it could push out 800 watts. Doesn't take a genius to figure out that the guy running a "normal" amp didn't stand a chance against a guy with a cheater amp like that.

back in the day a lot of competition's classes went by amplifiers rated power. so they started to build amps that would be rated at like 50x2 @ 4 ohms or something stupid like that and do 1000w when you'd bridge it.

hence the name cheater amp.

i think the link is actually an error, i highly doubt this thing actually does 80 times more power when you cut the resistance in half. just gave me a laugh.
