Well, I would think that the way to prove she is no where near 176 db is to put her system to the meter. I don't see how running out and buying a bunch of mediocre subs addresses that issue.

valid point, but im in need of a new upgrade for my college project and final system so i thought i might as well go big.

so after listening to you guys and the stupid comments, here's prolly the best options that you guys have given me with the amps that i have and the space. heres the options i guess im considering from what you guys told me:

2 12 inch Tc -9

or one 15" FI BTL

or if there is anything else around that let me know, my max spending limit is 430

I would think that all the crap you have caught (and yes, deserved) has been worth it. Sounds like much better alternatives than what you started with.

A single underpowered BTL 15, or 2 adequately powered TC9 12s...

Do you think you'll be investing in more power dow the road, or are you going to stick with the two Kenwoods?

Do those TC9 get pretty loud and are they more SPL or SQL? ive never really had any experience with them

Moving along...

If you've only got 1800 watts to play with... I'd go with something else... sure the BTL will still get pretty loud off that, but that's a lot of wasted potential. IMO atleast.

So what we're narrowed down to is the following:

$430 total for subs (including shipping), 2 12's or a single 15, 1800 watts total (900X2@2or1).

Am I forgetting anything?

yep thats right, and id like to try and get back down to Two 12" subs, but whatever is gonna be the loudest SPL, especially for bass competitions, but mainly for daily driving
