traded my pyramid 1600 watt (bullsh!t) amp for a type r 12 1242d

i offered my alpine mrp m450 mono amp but he wanted the pyramid amp?!?!?!

noobz ftmfw!!!!!

he still has another type r 12 so i think ima call him tomorrow and see if he'll trade me that for 1 of my type s 12's and a pioneer cd player (non mp3).......betting he will since he needs a cd player. then i can take the remaining 2 type s' 12s and put them on my home reciever since right now i have 1 cerwin vega 12 and 1 pyramid 12

by the way these type r's are brand new in the boxes!!!

now for the question........... will the mrp m450 be enough to sufficiently push a single type r 12 @ 2ohm

nice trade , it will move the subs but not nearly close to there potential, id get like a hifonics 1600 for the pair of them.

Yes, but will only put out about 1200-1300WRMS instead of the rated 1600WRMS.

well the subs are only rated at 500wrms each so I would call that a pretty even match up and then you have a little power extra when ya want

ok guys......gimmie some ideas on 1ohm stable amps worthy of powering 2 type r 12's

not an amp that needs oober volts to run at rated power (only working w/ 80 amp alt. and 2nd battery and cap).

lets not go above say 300, but i'll be selling the visoniks for 100-120 each (depending on if they all sell at once, or if i like the person(s) i'm selling to), and the mrp m450 for 140, still need a 20- 25 ft. run of 1/0 so 350 may be possible
