MY advice to everyone is stay away from online car audio stores like...

woofersetc.com

acaraudio.com

onlinecarstereo.com

etronics.com

These are a few of them but they are not very different then the rest.

1. Defacing Serial Numbers!

All brands like JL AUDIO, Diamond Audio, Eclipse etc, these company's trace back serial numbers to find on which dealer has been transshipping. Serial numbers are very important for legality issues and also for warranty issues.

Online stores like woofersetc.com will remove original factory serial numbers so that the dealer who supplies them the product can keep the line and keep them coming. They have and will damage the products. On jl audio subwoofers they remove the spider to remove a serial number placed deep inside the basket. Then they use glue to stick it back together. This will weaken the woofer and also void your warranty no matter what they tell you, these guys are dirty liars.

On Eclipse amplifiers they will open the amplifier and remove internal serial numbers so that the dealer who provides them with the product wont be cut.

It is a federal offense to remove serial numbers off products!! But they don't care!

2. Warranty Time

When you have a defective product don’t expect them to fix or replace it for you! after you have charged the product and its past 90 days you can no longer do a charge back so they will lie and make you send back the product and tell you that its not being covered under warranty! After 90 days the credit card company wont help you and then your stuck with nothing! This happens with them all the time!

Remember they wont do this with cheap car audio brands who don’t care about there products being sold online its only the lines who care about there name and reputation like JL AUDIO.

DONT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THESE SCUMBAGS

IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS POST AWAY I CAN ANSWER THEM ALL..

Strange, all my stuff I bought from the 1st & 4th website listed still have the serial intact... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif Maybe it only happens sometimes...

What brands? THey will put on fake serial numbers that they make at there warehouse. Take it to a local retailer who carries the product and you can see the difference

also who are you and why did you decide to post this?
yea. honestly.

if you buy unauthorized - you dont get a warranty anyway - so it dosnt matter at all if they remove or replace the serial numbers.

and who they hell are you anyway? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/uhoh.gif.c07307dd22ee7e63e22fc8e9c614d1fd.gif

You know that, but other people who buy from them think they have a warranty, and then there is the legal point to this. Its illegal to have a product without serial numbers.
