the truth about WOOFERSETC and other online stores

are you the seller bean?.. and is this for one hyper tweater? or 2? why can you not sell these?.. I'm sooo confused. heh I bought some stuff from one person called megabran. which is close to your seller name.

Yeah, I'm the seller. I can sell it. A guy from KEF actually bought the first one I sold to protect his product from being plastered on the internet.

Yeah, my wife's name is Megan and my name is well..... bean. So a lot of our usernames are megnbean

Oh, and check your PM

i have heard about onlinecarstereo.com cutting off the spiders and whatever and to get rid of the serial number, but why do you come here and register and immediately attack these companies and not give a reason why? why do you have hostility against these companies?

Oh now I see...now im whining and crying about them...you are pathetic... A little 19 year old kid talking shit.... You know nothing and yet you think your someone.... I actually have the California district attorney working on this matter and youll see what will happen with these companys.
oh my god shut the **** up nobody cares.

all of my woofersetc.com orders came with serial numbers. in fact, they didn't have the amp I ordered so they gave me next best one for the same price (over $100 deal). I'd say they're pretty nice people.

I understand what you're getting at with these companies, but they have a right to sell their inventory just like anyone else. They tell you straight up that they are not endorsed by these audio companies. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

Believe me, you're wasteing your time trying to get a district attorney to shut down these companies.

lol fosgate and kicker are both highly transhipped thing is the "stores" that do the transhipping are also amongst their LARGEST accounts (go figure) basically it depends on where these places got the stuff. i have seen stuff like this happen before too infact i knew someone who did it but thing is when it comes to the almighty dollar the big boys wont get cut off at all.

now, i only live about 45 minutes away cappy... you better not be lying - because i can come and see if you are.

and i can take videos with my new camrea - i DO know where you live //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

LMFAO>>>

Here is a real example of how the manufacurers pay attention to their stuff so it doesn't get slaughtered all over the internet.
Okay, so most of you know where I used to work. If not do a search. Anyway, after they let me go, I found I still had some parts for a bad *** set of home speakers (see ebay link below). Well, I figured...... I don't have anything to do with these, so I'll ebay em'. Long story short, the dude that bought them from me is the head guy for this speaker manufacturer here in america. He was protecting his own stuff. Which actually is pretty cool for the integrity of their line of speakers.

But, I have another one of these on ebay right now. If someone watches it and gets in to a bidding war with him and drives the price way up......... there might be something in it for you. We'll work it out later.

E-TAILERS are a scourge that need to be wiped out. I took Vik to task from Boost and caught him lying his a$$ off to everyone. It's a pretty sad state when a guy has to lie to you to get a sale and then you have no service to back it up in the end. I too have seen fixed items sold as new, fake equipment sold as brand name and I have seen items with altered, missing or fake serial numbers. I have also had the dubious distinction of telling many a customer, sorry, no warranty as the item was not bought from an authorized dealer. Why did they come to me then.... because the e-tailer who sold it to him was not authorized and could not get it repaired and would not replace it. Buyer beware. If all you supporters of UNAUTHORIZED etailers get burned (and you will), no pity from me or other authorized dealers. If it comes from an authorized e-tailer, that is a different story, then again though, if they were an authorized dealer, then I could warranty it for you and pay exactly the same for it as any other company would, e-tailer or not.

Don't like what I have to say, tough crap. Don't show me any other sides until you put your money on the line and own your own business. Until then go back to flipping burgers and thinking that most e-tailers are there to save you money.

lol and you wonder why people dont like the local shops any more? lol yanno instead of acting fed up i think its better to take the approach of at least being helpful to those in that situation. noone like a "i told you so" person (i'll admitt i do it but not over people getting burned) ias a former retailer (own shop) distributor and rep i think local shops should try to express MORE with what they have to offer in a positive way. that is the only way to truely express the value to what you do. wouldnt you agree? sure you will have the punk kids say "i can get that for $150 less" . most retailers get pissed and walk away, but a good retailer will say something down the lines of "Yanno thats great, but we offer a warranty straight from the manufacturer and have profession installation with installers who really know this product" and go from there. if you are a retailer and you cant say this then you really need to retool your shop. if the customers ask questions instead of shutting up in fear that they will use your info. PROVE to them that you are knowledgeable about it. sure you might have other custermers but a simple excuse me ill be right back with you never hurt anyone. if they stick around you can sway them onto the right path and if not so be it once they get burned they will do one of 2 things either go to you (not saying to help them for free but make an honest effor tto at least try to help in some way) or they were never going to be your customer to begin with. if you cant deal with sales which in anyway you cut it this is then you are in the wrong bizz. about 1/4 of my clientel i had i gained by doing this and i still get calls for advice and or installs with people willing to pay me for my help lol. all its about is treating people like people and realizing you arent going to get every sale but that shouldnt stop you from being a professional.

My comments are not based to the people that generally come in my door or contact me direct, I offer advice to people all the time, be it in person, on a forum or by e-mail. What they choose to do with it is up to them. I am more than helpful to any person that comes in my door regardless of where they bought their product from. If however my hands are tied based on where they purchased their gear, I will inform them of this and I cannot be aulted for telling a customer the truth. Can I offer altenatives to them, sure I can, can I give them free advice, you bet. My point here is that 99% of people coming in my door here at the store are here for a reason, good products with good warranty and good advice / service. This is how it should be. I would wager to say that the majority of readers of a thread like this that are pro e-tailer could care less about what a real audio store has to offer, all they are interested in is how much is it? They do not gererally care about the warranty or support / advice from the e-tailer, they are willing to take their chances and search out advice from keyboard commandoes that send them down the wrong path for the most part. Anyone paying attention to the forums will see time and again how easy it is for the e-tailer to screw over a customer. It is also sad to see that sometimes some shops do this as well. It is unfair to paint all the e-tailers and all the shops with the same brush. There are good and bad from both sides here. It is up to the customer to decide what is best for them. Most times the authorized e-tailer is pretty much the same price as a regular store, sometimes a store is cheaper or can offer better value as well. Retailing is changing and the net is becoming a larger portion of it. Unauthorized e-tailers prey on the #1 group of people when it comes to car audio, the 16-25 yr. old male...... now how many people on this site does that encompass I wonder. My business caters to all, after 10 years in operation now, my best customers are now into their late 20's, early 30's. In 10 years time, all the customers I deal with now will be that age. Good business is about good value to the customer. I as a indipendent dealer will offer far greater value to any customer than any other e-tailer could hope to do. Will I get all the sales, no, that is why there is competition. Will I gain sales from forums like this, sometimes I do, the majority of the time I do not (location related). Will I continue on doing the good business that I have and keep the increase going every year, yes I will. Will I stand up and protect my business's best interest, you bet your life I will. Unauthorized e-tailers are here today, gone tomorrow and leave customers with nothing but problems. I sleep well at night knowing my customer were handled to the best of this stores ability.

These manufacturers ACT so concerned about it but lets say DIAMOND in particular has very limited authorized retailers and knows full well it aint selling the volume it sells anywhere near what it would be thru authorized dealers. I dont see them CUTTING PRODUCTION. Why is it that brand new current model Alpine, Diamond ect components are FLOODING all over ebayand online retailers and have been for years. How hard is it to figure out that an authorized retailer isn't moving 2000 sets of speakers and 1000 amplifiers a month. It CANT be too hard to figure out which authorized dealers (if its true) are supplying the black market. Fact is MANUFACTURERS make a pretty penny selling unauthorized shit, I dont see them doing ANYTHING about it besides voiding warranties. I dont see them cutting production to real world authorized sales expectations (car audio isn't a new business and most of these companies arent new, I'm sure they know whats reasonable), I dont see them taking any legal action against these unauthorized outlets (I wonder why if they are bothered so much) that are as easy for them to find for them as it is for you and me (what are you going to tell me next they cant afford to take any action). All I see is them spitting out production so high that ebay is flooded with unauthorized brand new 05' products for half the price of authorized just as soon as they are released. Why is it that the companies that really do care and are strict about online and unauthorized sales really are so hard to come by on ebay and un authorized? You never see a large supply of Memphis, Eclipse and several other brands flooding the black market but I guess the unauthorized sellers are solely responsible and in on it all by themselves and are the only ones benefiting //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/uhoh.gif.c07307dd22ee7e63e22fc8e9c614d1fd.gif
