Little do they know that you'll hold them to that warranty for all times!!!!!
They count on bastards like me who will never go back for the warranted replacements //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif
Midas Muffler & Brakes here locally (I do not know if it used to happen nationwide so I'll say locally) used to have an unconditional lifetime warranty (parts
and labor!) brakes package.
I made sure to ask them were there any conditions along with the lifetime warranty (but not telling them why I wanted to know) and I got told there were no conditions whatsoever outside of you paying for the work to be done. I read through the warranty paperwork quickly to make certain there were no conditions like I was being told and then proceeded to have them put their lifetime warrantied brake pads on the front of my car and brake shoes on the rear and while I was there I had the rotors and drums turned since it was offered in the cost of the service.
Little did they know that the summer of 1991 right after I graduated high school I became interested in the SCCA's Solo II class of racing. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif
I ran in H-Stock class (factory 4cyl, no larger than 2.0L displacement, FWD) with an '86 Toyota Celica.
Midas was getting to replace my brakes about every 3-5 weeks *snicker* Apparently a full weekend of parking lot racing through cones is
very hard on non racing-spec brakes...
They got to the point to where if the service manager saw that little red POS coming he went ahead and pulled the appropriate parts before I ever walked in the building! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif
Hell, YES I make the most of lifetime warranties. You gonna be silly enough to offer it? I'm going to be smart enough to take full advantage of it! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif
