[QUOTE="Prowler573, post: 3045258, member: 561023"] Well - seeing the FS-Fog Lights thread reminded me of something I ran across the other day that I found rather interesting. I have fog/driving lights on my car which I put there. Said lights call for a size H3 55w bulb. Well, one of them went out the other day and as I cannot freggin' stand a light of any kind to be out on my car (that's another story for another day...) I decided to see about replacing the bulb. So - I head on down to Advance Auto parts because (a) that's the closest parts house to where I live and (b) I didn't figure there would be too much of a price difference from one store to the next when comparing Advance, Auto Zone, Pep Boys, NAPA, etc. Upon wandering into my local AAP and heading back to the aisle that contains the aftermarket lighting and related accessories I find that the only size H3 they apparently carry has a pricetag of $8.49 stuck on it! WTF?!? 9 bux for a freggin light bulb? Well - I look a bit more closely at it and find that the bulb is coated...looks something similar to the Sylvania SilverStar bulbs. Irritated that the bulb is going to cost that much but resigning myself to paying that much anyway because I'm already there and do not feel like driving halfway across town from where I was to the next nearest parts store I go ahead and walk up to the counter to present the cashier with this light bulb and my bankcard. So he rings up this bulb and then, with a very puzzled look on his face, asks me for my phone number. "Why do you need my phone number for me to buy a light bulb for my fog light?" "Umm....sir, apparently those bulbs come with a lifetime warranty. Quite frankly I've never seen anything like it - a lifetime warranty on a light bulb? Weird." "Lifetime warranty you said?" "Yes sir," says the cashier. "Hold on just a tick," I tell him. So I go back to the aisle where they were and picked up a second one. I figured if they're gonna be silly enough to offer a lifetime warranty on bulbs I may as well go ahead and fork over the scratch for a pair of them and never have to buy fog light bulbs again - ever! Especially when considering the vast majority of aftermarket add-on driving lights use an H3 bulb....so even if I change the lights themselves I'll still never have to buy bulbs for them! So - moral of the story - if your car has driving/fog lights that call for an H3 55w bulb head on down to Advance Auto if your locale has them. 9 bux for an H3 bulb sounds expensive at first...until you factor in it being the last $$$ you'll ever need to spend on one.
