THE Thread

I get a message on Yahoo or AIM or MSN and they pop up in slow motion......

Then I noticed another thing, sometimes this thing runs at 1.0GHZ, then another day at 1.80GHZ, right now it's at 2.0GHZ, why does it do both of those things???

Running spyware check ATM, but I don't understand the GHZ changing every now and then

Its a laptop?

If so, the cpu chips do that all the time. Normal. The system is constantly adjusting CPU speed based on processor load. They do this to counteract the thermal load on the cou when its not doing much, unless ur doing something intensive and it uses 100% of the cpu speed.

The FSB stays the same, but the multiplier on the processor can change

Example::

If your system isn't working very hard (you've gone to lunch, or you're working on a Word document) the processor will limp along at 800MHz. Fire up a game, and it may jump up to 1500MHz and stay there until you quit.

Dev......
Didn't you just start????
Yes, on friday. This will be the second job that i leave in less than a week.

Why... and yes.
Its decent, job is easy, its 3 miles from my house, perfect shift time.........but they lied to me about how much I was getting paid and the job I was going to be doing($12 compared to $9). And they reported that I didnt work on friday. How the **** would I not be there. Supervisor didnt even speak up for me.
