US Acoustics USX4065, but don't break off the power terminal. I learned that one the hard way. It's rated at 65x4

Ok first of all why the hell did you break it off?

Wonderbread the infinity kappa 3way (63.5i) are 75rms 225peak

the infinity reference 2way (6002i) are 60rms 180 peak

So your telling me a good clean pure 75rms to each of those 4 speakers is to much? You told me yourself they need at least there rms because they are power hungry...so I was gonna feed them 75rms...they sound kinda weak now with 45rms

I didn't tell you the reference's were power hungry.. I said they would take it... I said the comps wanted that much power...

silly me, i didn't realize that you had the Kappa's up front... you'll be fine tehn

Well to be totally honest it goes like this

front doors infinity kappa 3 way 6 1/2's

back doors infinity ref 2 way 6 1/2's

45rms per speaker, I want something like 75rms per speaker. I think they lack bass right now, because the shortage of power. Still sound loud and clear though. The freakin 3 ways I had a hell of a time mounting...it has a sub structure very deep magnet. You know made some rings/spacers all good now...

Oh guess what nswartley, OH YEA the lighting audio subs we were talking about member? Yea they come in 15's...so Im gonna have to get a pair.

welll i see all you yaho's are still goin on this thread.

been gone for a while (almost gone for good!!)

but illl be back to see whats up with all ya'll

for the lil one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey wonderbread do you think with more power these infinity speakers will have more of a full sound instead of sounding shallow? I mean I have no problems with them, but they just sound like they can give a better output....

example:if you give a car more gas you get more power and go faster. So if I give them more power will they sound better?

I believe they will, but I wanted some input.

hey I was right with more amp power via fosgate punch 700x at 87.5 rms at 4ohms they sound great...I dont have the money to buy this amp though...lol unless I can find a real cheap one....so it proves to me that a good 75rms per speaker should satisfy me alot more then this 45rms per channel....

This brings up a good point with subs. To get more power out of your engine you need more gas more air and a better breathing exhaust. What do you need for subs? More wattage better cooling? How could this be achieved? Well now that I think about it maybe subs are a little different. You can't just put a better performing voice coil in a sub, unlike a car where you can put on ported and polished cylinder heads.
