no its not...it will do much more than the JBL @ 1ohm. it has a TON more features (variable SSF, ease of use, durability!). i would take the lanzar over the JBL any day.

nswartley, Lol I didnt mean literally...I meant BAD A$$ buy...just a little more cash then the jbl, but double the power....

Wonderbread the advertise meant says 1200.1 but its not because it has 2 channels it even says it in my book....actually to be honest in the book it says 600x2...wierd huh...and on the rca its labled front inputs for 1 set and rear inputs for another set....??? With 1 jl 12w3 on one channel (+ & -) and the other jl 12w3 the same way it sounds pretty **** loud and I have all the gains turned all the way down and the cd player (clarion) dxz525 turned at 20volume....

Also wonder I have to agree these infinity reference 2way 6 1/2 are great...cant wait to get my kappa 3 way 6 1/2.....didnt go through with the component idea.

the 1200.1 is a 1 channel amp. there are 2 output channels that are internally bridged for ease of use. this has been covered many many times.

Ok wonderbread your jumping the gun here....I told you what is said in the book...so are you saying the book is wrong? It says 600x2! I know its a 1 channel amp and being mono its internal bridged, but what Im asking is how you run it at 1 channel to get like say a 2ohm load....sheeesh let me get a little easier...if you had 2 shocker ss 15's which are dvc 2 ohms you can wire them to the amp to get a 2ohm load off 1 channel, but would you use 1 - and 1+ off the amp? kinda like bridging a 4channel?

I thought the jbl bp1200.1 was a 1 channel amp? Lol it has 2 - and 2+ speaker terminals. and it has 2 sets of rca inputs. A little help here. I hooked it up using all 4 rca inputs and it works fine...when you just have 1 set hooked up it sounds soft.

The different rca inputs are for different setup conditions. when front and rear rca's are plugged in it turns the system into a non-fading rca (like a real sub output off a deck) I believe. If you have a regular set-up where your deck already has a non-fading output then you hook in to a certain rca input. There is a variety of wiring connector set-ups explained in the manual.

are you sure you have the bp1200.1? The manual for the JBL bp1200.1 DOES NOT STATE 2 CHANNEL STEREO power ratings....

Yeap my amp looks identical and it says bp1200.1 so what about the channels? I mean like I said would I do it like bridged a 4channel...or 2 channels...use 1 postive from one side and use 1 negative from the other side?

That was my bad on the 600x2 part....the 114amps draw aint to bad....lol

on the rca connects I have a 4 channel and the bp1200.1...on the deck I have a front set and a rear set....so what I was wondering is can I run the front from the deck to the 4channel and run the rear from the deck to the rear on the 4 channel and run a set or rca from the 4channel set labeled sum out to the sub amp? If so would I use the front or rear inputs on the sub amp? Or get some y splits and run to both?

If you look in the manual at the picture then you will see what im talking about figure 1 to be exact there you can see the front inputs to the left and the rear inputs to the right....I dont need the fade control...basically I just need both amps hooked up....

Guys I know its not the best 4 channel for these speakers and they are power hungry, but I gotta make due, cause I cant find a good 4 channel I was looking at the profile new silver amps, but said no and im gonna get something of better quality not gonna do the cheap idea any where...just be happy and do it right the first time....same with the subs, but seeing how I never got the shocker ss 15's!

i would run the 4 channel off of your Front set witha set of y-splits to the 4 channel. youwill lose your fade capabilities (front-rear). Then run your rear RCAS to the JBL. some people have had success running a y split right near the amp to take up all 4 RCAs, but it honestly doesn't matter.

To make sure I got what your saying...

Run 1 set of rca from the front outs on the deck to the front/rear ins on the 4 channel amp via y split.

Run 1 set of rca from the rear outs on the deck to the rear ins on the jbl?

wait, hold on...

that JBL, if you run 2 sets (a front and a rear) you will get a nin fading subwoofer output...

so now, im not sure if i'm nuts or not, but what happens if you run a set of Y's on each, and send half of the Y from teh front to teh 4 channel, half of the rear to teh 4 channel and the remaining ones to the JBL... this is just me thinking out loud here... no first ahnd experience trying it... but it might be worth a shot...

Honest I was thinking the same thing, because I was thinking can you get your fader control back this way? Because it would be the whole front controlled by the deck in which you would have a front to the jbl and a front to the 4channel so does that give you your fader control back, but without a use with the sub?

Hey I still cant figure this freakin edit button out....lol and I hit enter by accident....looking for a good 4 channel need 85rms per channel Im thinking....well 65-75would do, because most quality amps are underrated....
