ok...I spoke to the muffler rep and he said that it is not a good idea to order a 2.25" muffler for my application

he recommended the 2.5" inlet muffler (which is the same price)

either way...I wouldve paid the same amount for the install

2.5" piping = better flow

The only vehicle I have access to that has modified exhaust of any kind is my housemate's Z71. Exhaust manifolds come of either side of that Vortech 5.7 and empty into 3" pipe. That 3" pipe goes all the way back into those bigass echo tips that you see on so many vehicles nowadays.

And that's all. No catalytics, no mufflers, just pipe.

It's it is pretty freggin loud. I tell my housemate that she's an urban redneck. She's never lived in the country but she's about as country as they come. She's 5' tall, about 96 pounds, drives a Z71 with the previously described loud-*** exhaust, it has a CB in it, she has a freggin' Dixie horn (like the horn on the General Lee), and she only listens to country music.
