It looks like DC on a scope but it is not. WORLDS SIMPLEST TEST FOR DC IN A SIGNAL

take that same scope and change the coupling

from DC to AC,

Just about any audio frequency square wave will look the same.

does it act like DC? If you assume most of the speaker impedace is resistive, the answer is yes for generating heat, but no for causing oneway excursion.

looks like im going to have to take the cd player out of the womans car for now. from what she told me it looks like some idiots have been trying to pry her door open on her car. the only thing i can possibly see them trying to take is the cd player. so it looks like i get to spend about 10 mins taking it out. not such a bad deal i guess, it wont play right now anyways since there's a short in the right front speaker wire and it goes into protect mode.
