My Explorer had a brand new engine put it in by the people I bought it from. They had the local Ford dealership put it in. When the guy called me the other day letting me know the progress of it, he told me that the head that was on there was never replaced and looks like it had at least 150K miles on it. The Ford dealership must have never put a new head on it and just put an old used head from another engine on the BRAND NEW engine that they just put it in. I was pissed when I heard that. Sounds like ford owes you some money.

Indeed they do. I plan on calling them on Monday. The only problem I can see is that it was over 2 years ago and I wasn't the one who put the engine in, it was the previous owners. The warranty on the new engine just expired almost 3 months ago.
