my brother made a nice box for his amp's in the bed of his truck (has a cover). Ran all the wires thru tubing, sealed it up all nice. Didnt use marine grade plywood so im thinking the wood will still absorb water and remain damp...am i correct? I guess its not a big deal they are only kenwood amps ;p

Anyone have any thoughts?

If the wood isn't treated somehow then yes, I'd say it will absorb water....

mid-low end. The other thing is there are no fans or anything for ventilation think its going to get hot in the summer when its 100 degree's (and 100% humidity).

I try to talk to him about CA and he doesnt seem to listen. He wants all kenwood..so i told him to get the 25th an from ebay and the excellon amps, he bought some low end deck with 2 preouts at CC. Then three weeks later when he found out why you want at least 3 preouts he bought the 25th from ebay. I think he is also looking to replace the low end amps and subs he bought. He also runs 6x9's in the front doors and 6.5's in the rear.

I like the Kenwood eXcelon HUs and amps but I'm not so keen on their speakers. Although - my older eXcelon SVC 10s sound freggin great in a manufacturer-spec sealed box for the $100 I paid for the pair of 'em.

Yeah thats why i told him to go all excelon if he wanted all kenwood. The sad part is he has so much room in his front doors and kick area. He could drop a sick *** 3-way easy. Im jealous of his doors ;(
