Funny you should mention that - i was just looking at Sig's website reading about their Certified PreOwned program.

Good idea realy though.

When i first opened my Sig case, there was alil package with 2 empty shells.At first i was like wtf,then it clicked.Too bad many other companies don`t do that.*that i know of anyways*

All manufacturers that sell handguns in the US are now required to do that by law. The fact that you received two empty shells and not just one means that your state has ballistics information about that gun and that you are the owner of it.

Louisiana doesn't do that ~ yet.

I don't know when the regulation was actually enacted...the last handgun I purchased was my Ruger P97DC .45 and that would have been....March '05, I think? It came with a fired round in the gun case with an explanation of why it was there.
