its a throw back to the old school farm days.. tells people when to be at work.. when to take lunch, and when to go home.

they also use them to alert the volunteer fire dept when there is a fire.. or weather warnings...

i dont think you guys understand just exactly how remote this place is.. i mean its 65 miles to a walmart or a supermarket...
