Okay....here's how I explained it to faulkton (I think it was him???)
Remembering that a square root is a number that can be multiplied by itself to achieve the number in question and the vast majority of numbers do not have an even number for a square root....(ergo ~ the square root of 64 is 8 as 8 x 8 = 64)
The square root of 69 is 8.xxxxxxxx or "8-something"
Mentally replace the actual number 69 in my sig image with what "69" is usually indicative of when used in a ****** context and also mentally replace the numeral "8" with the word "Ate"
Once you understand that bit the second statement is pretty self-explanatory.
