I used to go to the Bank Barber Shop downtown on Edwards (it's within sight of the Greyhound station in between Travis and Fannin) but the guy that cut my hair there died. I used him as he was the barber that cut my dad's hair for close to 60 freggin' years until he passed on (the barber....Dad's still kickin' //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif)
Here of late I have been going to whatever hair place is in Pierre Bossier mall close to the food court. There's this little, short black woman who is competent and extremely quick and it only costs $10, I think? I normally pay her $15 as she has one more feature that I really love in a barber/hairstylist/whatever you wanna call 'em: She can tell when you're not in a chatty mood and if so she'll stfu, cut your hair, and get you out the door.
I hate a hair person that feels the need to engage their customer in a long-winded conversation whether the customer cares to do so or not.
