Yea... he was the one that suggested they sell his brother [joseph] and then at the end of the story hes the one giving himself up to slavery for his brother Benjamin. And why is there a middle chapter [chapter 39 or 38 of Genesis] where it strays from the Joseph story and goes to just Judah? What is that telling us?

im going to assume your speaking of the biblical story of joseph correct? and if memory serves me correctly judah was one of joseph's brothers that sold him into slavery correct?

I did and he slept with his.... daughter in law... but that was after Judah refused to give his last son to her after the previos 2 died. its been years since i've read the story of joseph, if i think of it this evening i'll do some research for ya ok? but i think the story in the middle is more about the character of judah and so forth.

MAYBE... they just told us that the the Judah character thought of nothing but himself. he was selfish and he wronged ppl... [daughter in law] then at the end of the JOSEPH story he changes... hmmmmmmm
