You need 2 switches.. I used a push button and a toggle.. The push button is for the brake, and the toggle is for the e-brake.. I think it's the brake that gets +12v, and the e-brake gets ground, or vice versa.. I'll see if I can find a link..

 
ebrake wire is ground, footbrake wire is +12v, you (according to alpine) need to put the footbrake down, pull the ebrake, let it off, and pull it again, then the video turns on and you can let your foot off the brake. the PAC TR-7 has a steady +12v output on one wire and pulses ground on the other.
