THE Thread

Doesnt pioneer sell a powered center channel speaker ?I know clarion makes one that sits inside the dash under the h/u.

I have a 5ch class a/b.

But usually the 5th channel has filters on it for bass only.
exactly... that is my problem. I would get 2 amps... a 4 channel, and a 2 channel.. IF they made a 2 channel JUST for running a center channel speaker. This sucks.

so I can run surround with a 4 channel amp, and the center channel off the 2 channel as long as it has 5.1 decoding?? If so...is there any way a 2 channel amp has that? Or is that in the head unit.... which would mean I could get any amp. right?

and thanks man... THAT is the help I was looking for

props for going water //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/up2something.gif.dd110ecf3ae4b76050d87598f2f8de7c.gif but you lose points for what looks like EXOS or the corsair equivalent //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif

time to flex my e-peen with the (somewhat) homemade watercooling **** rockin the aquarium pump and heater core

that was the puter of days of old though, now I'm back to air though, the pump broke after about year, I suppose they actually make pumps made for computers now but I'm way too lazy to spend the $$$ because if I were to get a new pump I'd want new tubing and waterblocks too //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/yumyum.gif.0556df42231b304b9c995aefd13928a8.gif

I've got a 120mm thermalright heatsink now with a 120x38mm fan, its quite large but it has close to the same performance as the watercooling had, so I'm not complaining. (plus 3 120x25mm, and 4 80x25mm)

There isn't going to be a 2ch amp that has 5.1 decoding. Not gonna happen.

What you need is some form of 5.1 surround source that has appropriate outputs for the 5 discreet channels + the LFE channel. As long as you have a proper output from your source to input to whatever is amplifying your center channel is doesn't matter what, specifically, is powering said center channel (assuming that you aren't using Class D ampingl that only has subbass frequency response...)

agreed
a cheap reliable PSU company is FSP Group/Fortron Source/Sparkle Power

I have this , sleeves are sexy.
I actualy have that exact power suppply in one of my extra rigs...my main rig is power by a silverstone st60f (I love this thing) it powers my overclocked quad opty with signature 7900GT quite nicely
