THE Thread

yeah steering wheel interface..
i just want to keep the steering wheel controls.. the PAC is like $60, just not sure if i could install program it or not
I was also wondering what's involved.. I haven't installed mine yet, and we basically have the same cars.. When I get around to it, I'll let you know..

i think a set of PG ti elites, in kicks and replacing the facotry 8" with a Rl-i 8"... power them with a xenon 200.4... use the 8454 i have for a deck... thought about getting a 8445 for sirius... but fck spending that much i can just use the aux in on the deck i already have.

i should be ok with just one 200.4 on the stock alt..

yeah this one isnt IR, it uses the brown/white wire on the deck.. the IR ones have thsat shitty delay..

installing it sounds simple enough.. its the programming that sounds sort of shady..

"Installation is straightforward — just connect a few wires, only 3 wires in many cars. The direct connection to the stereo means there's no need for an infrared emitter, allowing the SWI-ECL to function even in bright sunlight. Step-by-step LED confirmation makes programming easy. Once connected, the SWI-ECL's failsafe memory will learn up to 5 stereo functions, retaining them even if battery power is interrupted. Dimensions: 3-3/4"W x 1-1/16"H x 1-9/16"D. Warranty: 1 year. "

any time they say its easy...it usually isnt //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

cool, i havent realyl started anything yet. Probably start ripping everything out of my old car tomorrow...
Will you be using the infrared version, or is there one that plugs into the 8454? I got the one that plugs in directly to my D310.. Should be similiar tho.. The instructions seem pretty straight forward..
