I think, Dre, that whatever part of the windshield is immediately over those vents wouldn't defrost very efficiently but it would make the airflow out of the rest of the vents faster as the air would be routed away from the closed vents to whatever open ones were left.

coo thats what i thought well then they are gonna go bye bye then since i never really use the defrosters anyway

i think it was a bad idea to cut my ear..woke up with blood all over pillow and face...

plus now its like swollen and warm to the touch...more than when i started ;(

If it is warmer to the touch than the skin anywhere else on your head/body then that's indicative of a really severe infection and I would suggest you see someone pretty soon and get it looked at/treated/prescribed some antibiotics for the infection before it spreads - serious infections in close proximity to the brain can be really bad news.
Example: You've got a bad tooth that absesses (sp?). Left untreated the poison in the absess can spread to your brain and kill you.

Seems like the ear gets warm to the touch really easily though. Like if I bump my ear against something it'll get really warm for a while and turn red. But still, you should probably see a dr.
