THE Thread

how is this gotten rid of?
Dre, I do not know, actually. I had a kidney stone in late '03 that was small enough they were able to laser it without doing any invasive surgery. I am praying that there is a similar procedure for this and I don't have to go under the knife //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

I've heard that there is a technique where they use super sonic waves to shatter the stone through your skin.
That's what they did with my kidney stones. Don't know why I said laser - silly ass me...

For those of you that have never had kidney stones here's a bit of understanding as to just how bad they freggin' hurt...

The doctor that worked on me was a woman.....said she had 4 kidney stones and 3 kids to her credit. She advised that she preferred childbirth over kidney stones in the pain department.

I heard that they are mostly due to poor eating habits...and heredatary(sp?) tendancies to have them.
Poor eating habits and I are more than casual aquaintences, unfortunately. I eat entirely too much bad food on the road since I spend 12~14 hours a day on the highway when I work.

As far as anything hereditary I wouldn't have a clue. I'm adopted and know exactly nothing about my biological family's medical history.

I guess I'm an oddball as far as that is concerned ~ I've never had the desire to search out my biological parents or any other of their relatives.

I may not have been born into my family but they are, without question, my family. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
