THE Thread

tacoma was a gangsta *** place in the 80/90's...i think they clean it up some now though.
I lived in Tacoma for the first couple years of my life, but was too young to realize what a gangster was. My parents told me a story of when they bought a VCR when it first came out for >$1k and someone broke in and jacked it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

Was a girl working at the cafe that looked like Tila, except without a fugly face. They did away with lingerie night //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

i grew up in tacoma...its not a really big city, 400,000 or something...but shit for a while it was fcked up...was 20/20's "crack town USA" once and one year was second in the nation (per capita) for homicide...behind DC. Being the second deepest port on the west coast (iirc), lots of drugs, guns and crime move thru it..

All sorts of criminal elements..you get the asians, the russians, the mexicans, and of course regular old crips/bloods/bgd's.

I'm not a big fan of downtown Seattle, it's just too crazy and the streets are confusing. WA suburbs are nice though, all the fresh air. The only crappy thing is stuff is relatively far apart. I'm so used to Cali and driving 10 minutes to get anywhere, up there it was like 30 minutes.
