i started writing this essay i have to send in to get a $1000 scholarship...on why i deserve it and what my aspirations are..so far this is what i came up with.
I feel that obtaining my education is solely my responsibility and I do not feel entitled to help from anyone in reaching my goal. I feel that higher education is something that is only truly beneficial to an individual when they are committed wholeheartedly. If I want to earn a degree and I am willing to put forth the required effort, I will earn my degree. Nonetheless, any help bestowed upon me by a benevolent benefactor would certainly be appreciated and accepted.

just a page...and im about 99.9% sure i already have the scholarship...because the people giving it are family of a former resident where i work..they tried to just write me a check one night and i told them i could not accept it because of company policy..told them to talk to my boss..and for it to be ok with corporate it has to be open to all employees's..so they came up with the scholarship thing...however I'm the only one working here who is in school //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

As you already know I work full time and commute a substantial distance to attend class. The combination of working nights and attending class during the day is both tiring and challenging. However, I think it is also a testament to the drive I possess. Earning a 4.0 last semester is a testament to my abilities, and willingness to dedicate myself to fulfilling my goal. For these reasons I feel that I am a worthy candidate for consideration.
