THE Thread

In all fairness Prowler your car looks better than alot of the cars on the road today. Plus the rims on your car look great
Thanks for that. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

It's a Chevy/Toyota mutt....never gonna be anything other than that, either. With that in mind i was going for better than factory without trying to get tacky. overdone, or ghetto looking with it.

Kindof tough when you're starting with such a "Bleh" palette......

And as is most the time simple is better, The rims on your car are the perfect size, and thats all you need to make a car look good, a nice set of rims, and a good tint job, sometimes thats the best way to enhance a car

It never hurts to have access to a top-notch paintjob for no more than materials plus $100, either //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Edit:

when I bought my 04 silverado 2 years ago, I drove directly from the dealership to the rim/tire shop, I put all of 10 miles on my stock wheels
It didn't occur to me at first when I bought these Konigs but as soon as they arrived it automatically gave me four full-size spares instead of the crappy cereal bowl doughnut spare that came with the car. I was a bit pleased when I realized that for the first time.
real tires/wheels > temporary spares

Most trucks come with full size spares.Minus the Honda Ridgeline, its not a truck so it gets a donut
I understand that so my experience wouldn't apply to Chevy getting new rims for his Silverado.

But the factory wheels on my car were 14" x 5.5" wrapped in 185/65R14 tires.

I went to a 17" x 7" rim with 205/40R17 tires.

can of fix a flat is about as good as its gonna get
I disagree.

I had just bought tires for my car before I fell into a deal I couldn't pass up on the 17s that are on it now.

So when I went to the 17" wheels I automatically gained four factory wheels with tires on them with less than 2 weeks of driving on them.

I'll take a full-size tire with new tire tread on it (four of them, actually) over Fix A Flat anyday. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Trying to cover up for his lack of "tool" skillz!

It's weird. You make up this general idea of what you think people are like in real life. Even things like their avatar/sig play a big role in how I think of them.Sometimes it's good that we keep things within the electronic boundaries. I'm sure everyone who met me agrees.
I enjoyed meeting you Dennis //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
