More help on the shocker ss subs please....Should they be sealed or ported? Does anyone have specs on port size and tunned to? air space in cubeft?

Of course they are going to sound like shit, they are a very nice budget SPL sub.

I dont want to give up my spare tire. So I have a total space of 38inches from wheel well to wheel well......17 maybe 18 inches tall.......from the back seat to the start of the spare 20inches.

Any help?

for a straight up box mabe of 3/4" mdf...it would be about

36.5 x 16 x 18.5 = 10804

10804 / 1728 ~ 6.25 ft^3

now...you have to subtract driver displacement and port dispacement from that....and you would probably want 2 chambers for each sub...so you're looking at about...

3.06 ft^3 for each sub....BEFORE driver and port displacement.

doesnt germany use the metric system....? or are you familiar with both?
