Anyway, as two people that enjoy the finer things in audio, we should not let our differences create a void. Eventhough you know I'm right.

Actually, Radioshack used to sell a pretty decent SS phono stage...don't know if they still carry it or not. There are some pretty good ones out there that use opamps, and battery power to eliminate any traces of AC hum.

I think I will be able to score a Planar 2 in my budget..... But I keep looking at Thorens too because they are more affordable and I don't want to go crazy to get an LP to have zero noise floor. Thorens TD160's are nice, but they have a habit of spinning up slooooooooooooowwww......
