My friend's uncle has a pair of those crazy Klipsche horns...La Scala I think?

La Scalas are sick. 101dB/W...actually, I don't have a room large enough to make those work well. When they're driven by an amp with direct DC heating on the filaments (like a 2A3, 45, 300b, etc...) the low-level hum is amplified too much //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif So they get a lot louder, but you need to be farther away from the speakers.

Although this amp is going to be my first experience with some new noise-reducing circuits, so a lot of that noise might go away. There'll still be some left over (inherent to the design), but most of it should be gone...
