How do you get Norton AV to stop being so **** annoying? Its constantly popping up shit about updating it, but when i try to update it the definitions part always fails, then it keeps popping up that I need to update the definitions. Then it keeps freezing my computer trying to run 2 scans at once, constantly. This is why I hate Anti-virus programs, they try to take over your computer, and when you try not to let it, it freezes your computer and pops up a million windows....

I took Norton off my machine, completely disabled it...

other virus programs are much better; less invasive.

What do you use now? I liked kaspersky when I used it. Then just a bunch of other free ones, like avast and AVG, panda. Kaspersky was definitely the best one though, just my opinion

I use Microsoft spyware thingy and spybot

AVG, sometimes.

I got a vorus from this kid on AIM and i ran all my programs, no luck

You guys know of something that can get rid of it ?

I deleted/uninstalled AIM, didnt do jack ████
