its a good scene for bands, not necessarily a good scene for listeners...
basically the only GREAT things that have come out of here (That i can think of off hand) are basically all the hippie-music bands (String Cheese and that business), and then Five Iron Frenzy/Brave Saint Saturn (2 of my personal favorites of all time) ...

for now there's lots of upcoming younger bands... there just aren't that many decent bands, which is cool for us, the music scene isn't entirely VERY competitive, whereas on the East Coast where we're touring this summer, there's 8 million bands to compete with for venues...

oh thats good stuff. i really like it. i was particularly talking about the metal scene, though; molester, cephalic carnage, mandrake, a couple of other big ones whom i forget the name of and others ive had the privilege to play next to or with. hicks? didnt ever know/see one. now arizona has a lot of white trash...i hate the desert.

cephalic carnage is local? i didnt know that, i see their t shirts and stuff all over the place.
