You're not supossed 2 go down there

because that's the surface area of a circle and not a subwoofer cone. when you use that formula you are assuming the cone is completly flat, but when it bows in, that creates more area, and plus different manufactors will have slightly different cone areas. in the TS paramaters you can find cone area

also when you do 12 inches, that also includes the surround and the outer frame of the basket
