It's not really a true story....Ed Gein was quite a bit different....although about ten times more disturbing. I did report on him and Albert Fish in High School.......truly disgusting shit.
I just saw it, the original was better. Even though this turned into a traditional chase movie at the end I did really like the first half. I get sick of the traditional jason style horror movie where the victim just runs and the villan chases him or her down or tries to find where they are hiding. In the first half it was very random hits on each of the two groups. He would get one from one group and then move to the other. Those kids didn't know what hit them (or sliced them) until almost everybody was dead. Pretty good ending, but my vote's still with the original.
Just got back from this movie tonight... didn't enjoy it that much, a couple jumpy moments but I get sick of the chase em around horror flick real fast...

Kinda scary, I did a report in junior high school on the evolution of serial killers. Went from Vlad the Impaler(technically not a serial killer but a sadist the same) up to Ted Bundy and included everyone from Richard Ramirez to Ed Gein to the David Berkowitz (Son of Sam) to Jeffery Dahmer to John Wayne Gacy. I think I got an A or B on that assignment and still have a half bookshelf full of reference material on the subject.
I totally ignored the subject of the thread but hey, truth can be a hell of a lot scarier than fiction. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/scared.gif.f134e57c6c93ccd0f15aa5ac32c7d4a0.gif
